Galaxy T-Shirt Sewing Pattern

I am thrilled to bring to you a brand new sewing pattern – the Galaxy T-Shirt!

Galaxy is a classic tee with a chic puff sleeve – the perfect modern update to an everyday essential. It was not until I made the mint tee below that I realised I urgently needed one in black, and one in white too! Then I thought you guys might like to make your own … and so … here we are!

I hope you’ll love this pattern as much as I loved making it for you! It is a PDF available in A4 print at home format, or A0 copy shop format. There are 10 sizes ranging from 88cm to 122cm bust. Depending on your size, you will need 1.10-1.60m of cotton knit fabric.

Full sewing instructions are included and it is an easy, rewarding make – I think a beginner can handle it!

  2. Thank you so much for making your Galaxy Tee pattern! I have seen so many successful versions and look forward to making this. I am new to working with knits so this is a big commitment and challenge to myself to make mine look as beautiful as those I have seen others make!

  3. Hi,
I’ve just received my cotton knit fabric in a lovely plum colour however as I’ve never used this kind of fabric before I’m in a quandary? Do you suggest the wash this fabric prior
to sewing as I’m not sure about shirkage? Your pattern looks fabulous and am looking forward to making many.

      1. Thank you Sheryll. Can I ask you – does this pattern include the seam allowance or not. Before I go cutting it out. Many thanks.

  4. This has got to be the best t shirt pattern i have every made, and i have tried a lot of them. Fit is perfect and the sleeves set it apart from all the rest. So far have made 3 with another 6 cut out.

  5. Would love to make this pattern. I’m having trouble with the size chart. I’m 40” bust 35 waist and 41 hip. Could you help me choose my size. Thanks in advance.

    Thanks,
    Theresa

    1. As your bust size of 40″ is equivalent to 101-102cm, I recommend choosing either size 100cm (39 1/2″) or size 104cm (41″). If you are proportionate to most size tables, I recommend size 104cm. If your bust is larger than most size tables, I recommend size 100cm. Hope that helps!
